104GALERIE (Ikejiro-Ohashi, Tokyo) is holding a collection exhibition from Thursday July 12th to Tuesday September 25th 2018.
104GALERIE has introduced a wide variety of contemporary international art to Japan. In this exhibition, centered on a few young international artists with upcoming exhibitions at the gallery, we are showing our archive and private collections mixed together, in a series of three shows.

PROFILE

Robert Bosisio
Born in Trodena, Northern Italy in 1963. After learning graphic art in Bolzano, he graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 1988. He continued to study art in Berlin (1989-1994, 2008), London (1997) and New York (2006). In 2011 he received La Fenice award in Venice, and exhibited in the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.Currently he works out of his studios in three cities: Troneda (Italy) Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Berlin.

Diego Cirulli
Born in 1981 in Bariloche in Río Negro, Argentina, and graduated from The Institute of Visual Arts of Argentina. He lives and works in Buenos Aires. His 2012 work at the Haroldo Conti Memory Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, ‘21 105 significance and redefinition of Memory Spaces’ received a lot of attention for its focus on historical and social issues. In addition to his own art, he is also a producer at ‘Teatro Colón’ in Buenos Aires, one of the three most prestigious opera companies in the world, and continues to widen his field of work.

Rudy Creonini
Born in Bologna, Italy, in 1981, and graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.In 2011 he was a finalist for the Combat Prize, and in 2012 he was also selected as a finalist for the Marina di Ravenna Prize and the Opera Prize. Currently holding solo and group shows in places such as Stuttgart (Germany), Ortisei (Italy) and New York.

Pius Fox
Born in Berlin, Germany in 1983, and graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts in 2009.
He studied under Henning Kürschner, and in 2006 went to Aix-en-Provence on an Erasmus Programme scholarship. Following that, he continued to study under Frank Badur and Pia Fries. Currently he is working internationally, holding solo shows in London, New York, Berlin and Paris.

Teodora Axente
Born in 1984 in Sibiu, Romania, and graduated from The University of Art and Design of Cluj in Romania. In 2011 she received the Essl Art Award, and participated in a group exhibition at the Essl Museum in Vienna, Austria. After that, she heldsolo shows in New York, Ortisei (Italy), Paris, and Herentals (Belgium). In 2017 she was awarded with the 3D Frissiras Award for European Painting in Athens (Greece), gaining international acclaim.

Alin Bozbiciu
Born in 1989 in Sângeorz-Băi, Romania, and graduated from The University of Art and Design of Cluj in Romania in 2013. He studied art under Corneliu Brudasco, one of the few Romanian artists related to the pop art scene. He is currently basedin Cluj-Napoca, and is holding solo and group exhibitions in places including Romania, France, Italy, the US and Holland. He has been invited to Paris as an artist in residence in 2019.

Mircea But
Born in 1991 in Baia Mare, Romania, and graduated from The University of Art and Design of Cluj in Romania. In 2014 he spent a year in residence at Intact Space in Cluj-Napoca, and in 2015 studied at Plan B Gallery in Berlin through an Erasmus Programme scholarship. In Autumn 2015 he was selected to contribute to the Romanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He has had solo exhibitions in galleries and museums including ART+TEXT in Budapest, Hungary.
